Nathan is a little shorty! But, he's still on the charts and following his curve so the doctor wasn't worried at all about his growth or development. One of his developmental questions was, "Is he saying at least 25 words and speaking in 2 word sentences?" I had to laugh. About two months ago Michael and I decided to make a list of all of the words and phrases Nathan knows. The list was over 300 words. He is also speaking in closer to 7 and 8 word sentences! His vocabulary exploded over the last six months!
Nathan is such a fun little kid. He has a really fun, sweet, loving personality. He gives hugs and kisses spontaneously and will often ask us, "What's wrong?" if we seem sad or mad. He's very polite and tells us, "Thank You", and "You're Welcome", and he asks, "Please" when he wants something. He's a great big brother and loves playing with Logan and will often lay down next to him and tickle him or talk to him. Sometimes he tries to "help" Logan roll over, or tries to "help" feed him. Logan, of course, loves it all (except for being gagged occasionally by spoons . . .)! He also loves playing with trains, cars and his farm animals. He loves big trucks and school buses. His favorite shows to watch are "Thomas the Tank Engine", "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood", "The Hive" (or Buzzbee as we call it), and "Bubble Guppies". He loves looking at books and reading and can recite most of his books, or fill in words when we pause and ask him. He LOVES music, singing and dancing. His favorite song is, "You Don't Know You're Beautiful" by One Direction. I'll ask him what song he wants to sing, or listen to and he always says, "beautiful!" It's so stinkin' cute! And he knows almost all of the words! He also likes, "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", "Give Said the Little Stream", "Angel Lullaby", "Row, Row, Row Your Boat", "ABC's", "I Am a Child of God". I think there are a few others but these are the ones he can sing and asks for most often. He can count 1-12, and knows most of the ABC's. He's still working on colors and shapes, but mostly has them down.
It's so crazy how much this little boy has changed and grown in the last year! I'm excited to see what the next year will bring for him!
