Random Stuff from August

My friend, Catherine, was visit from Maryland.  We were able to meet up at the Manti Temple and do a session.  It was so awesome!  I don't get many chances to go to the temple or to just hang out with a friend so it was extra cool to be able to do both!!

Stephanie and Sarah-my AWESOME co-workers at Aspire! This was one of the last few shifts I worked with them.  Around the middle of August I switched to a full-time case manager position at Vantage Point.  I am still working with Wasatch but instead of doing residential I am working at a crisis receiving shelter, still with teens.  It was a really tough transition.  I miss my Aspire co-workers and the girls A LOT!!

Sooooooo, the boys are standing in time out in this picture.  I couldn't help but take a picture, they looked so cute!  But that day was absolutely HORRIBLE!!  Michael was sick so I decided to try taking the kids to church by myself.  We arrived a little late and barely missed the sacrament.  Then Nathan needed to use the potty, so we went and he did that and we went back in. Then he needed to use the potty again, and then again.  I think he went-and actually went each time-at least 4 times within a 15 minute span.  And then the boys were running around and not listening, thus standing in an empty room in time out.  FINALLY Sacrament Meeting ended and I thought I'd be able to get through the next two hours.  No. Such. Luck.  I had only been in Sunday School for about 10 minutes when Logan's nursery leader brought him to me.  He had completely blown out his diaper. I was so horrified and embarrassed!  AND I had run out of wipes the night before and forgot to replace them.  I threw in the towel.  We went to get Nathan from nursery and went home.  But of course Nathan, who LOVES nursery, was so sad to go.  As we were leaving he sadly told me that they hadn't had snack yet.  After dropping the boys off at home I left for work and just sobbed.  It was by far the roughest Sunday we have had in quite some time.  On top of the Sunday from Hell it was also my last shift I'd be working at Aspire.  Plus, I'd be starting full time hours, which would mean more time away from my kids and the whole thing just felt so overwhelming.  And when I tried to do the "right thing" by taking everyone to church by myself it all just fell apart.  After that Sunday Logan got Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease, then my mom and dad came to visit and we just haven't made it back to church since.  Hopefully next time we go it will be more uplifting . . .

Cute lil' Logan in his baseball hat!

I put Logan in by himself and he pointed behind him and said "sissy!"  :)

He loves her!

Baseball!

Fort building!

He loves her too!

Another from my last day!  I stole this picture from Steph's Snapchat.

Where's the heart eye emoji when you need it?!

This kid and baseball hats!!
Sweet boy taking a nap!

Nathan is so sweet and loving!  He'll give us big hugs and then tell us we're his best friends!! I love him so much!!

This is my view when I drive home from my new job every night.

Nathan's been asking to do school lately and loves playing with this awesome magnet letter board he got for his birthday!

During Katelyn's first nap time the boys and I have been "playing" MarioKart.  Which means they hold the remotes but only I am actually playing!! Haha!  Nathan gets really into and will talk to Mario!  "Mario! Get out of the mud! Mario! Get the question!  Oh no! Not the ghost! We got inked again!' Hahahaha!!

Logan was feeling bummed because he wanted the pink remote that Nathan had!

They take turns!  Nathan likes the black remote because it's like his dads!

I was cleaning under Logan's bed and pushed their beds together for a minute but they loved it so much they wanted to keep it that way!

"Logan are you happy?!"

"Logan, are you mad??!!"  It's a game he likes to play! Usually his mad face it less creepy without the fork in his mouth! Ha!

Meemaw and Papa came to visit!!!!

Logan REALLY wanted to help Katelyn walk!!!

Happy Birthday Papa!!!

We were watching a Rockie's baseball game and it happened to be Pups in the Park day.  Logan was cheering, saying "Go Harper!!" (I know . . . Harper plays for the Nationals but he's only 1.5 so whatcha gonna do?)  And then he saw a puppy on the screen and started saying, "GO PUPPY!!! GO PUPPY!!"
