First Two Weeks of School

First day of school! We made a special breakfast and did some pictures. Then jumped right into the books! Logan has been so excited for his reading book that will "teach him to read like Nathan!" Nathan was excited for his new Science book.

Logan had to watch Nathan do all kinds of fun projects last year that came in his Kiwi crates. He has been very excited to get his own crates this year! We got him the Koala crates and I am loving them! This dinosaur themed crate was perfect for Logan!

Katelyn looks forward to the day when she'll get her very own crates, but she lucked out this month. Nathan's Atlas crates have an overlapping subscription right now and he ended up with two Indonesia crates. Katelyn was very excited to make this Komodo Dragon with Nathan.

We got the kids their very own yoga mats for PE this year. I love the bright colors and patterns! The kids loved having their very own! This is Logan doing his favorite yoga pose-tree pose.

Katelyn laid on hers and said "look I'm laying in the sky!"

Nathan's favorite pose

They're doing Cosmic Kids Yoga on Youtube. Namaste.

Katelyn drew this picture and told me it's her!

School this year is going to look a little different in some ways, but in some ways it's the same. It's been different having both of the boys to do school with and trying to help Katelyn not feel left out. Luckily we're using the same reading curriculum with Logan as we used with Nathan last year so it's very familiar and Logan is catching onto to it all so fast. He's already reading and spelling several three letter words. We switched our Math curriculum for both boys this year and I am loving it so far. We're using Right Start math this year and it's more hands on and visual and I think it's going much better then last years math.  We're waiting on our history curriculum to get here but have been studying a little bit about the Earth's earliest time periods and dinosaurs and fossils.
