Nathan's birthday started with pancakes at Ihop with his dad! He loves this tradition and didn't get to do it last year because everything had just been shut down for covid. He was excited that he got to go this year.
One of the kids' favorite birthday traditions is getting birthday money from Meemaw and Papa and getting to go on a special date with mom or dad to Target. Nathan saw this cool alligator a few days earlier and was so excited to go back and get it with his birthday money!
He also got these LEGO sets that he'd been eyeing!
It's hard to tell if he was excited about this one . . . haha!
It was a very dino 7th birthday! Nathan is always so quick to help out with whatever is needed. He works hard in school and is always trying to make everyone happy. He loves all of his siblings and loves playing the many different "shows" that they come up with. His favorites right now are Jurassic World, alligators, crocodiles, Star Wars, and Harry Potter. He is such a fun kid with a great sense of humor. He's also kind and compassionate. It was easy to spoil him on his birthday because he's such a great kid!
Michael did such a great job with this cookies and cream cake!
I love to capture these smiles! Everyone singing to them and celebrating them and they just love it!
Birthday Party Surprise:
Last year we had a birthday party planned for Nathan with our family but had to cancel because of covid. He was so sad. A few days before his birthday he mentioned being sad about not getting to do that last year. But little did he know we had a surprise planned for him for this year! We told him we were taking him on a walk but he's too smart and asked why he needed a blindfold for a walk.
He was so excited and surprised!
These are supposed to be lightsaber cupcakes . . . the blades were just a little too short! Haha!
The kids had so much fun soaking their feet in the pool and doing the Easter egg hunt that David and Patrick put together for them. We have missed seeing our aunts over the last year and loved getting to be together again!
