A Trip to the Zoo

Yesterday Michael and I went to the Cameron Park Zoo in Waco.  It was such a beautiful day to spend walking around the zoo! The sun was shining and if felt warm, but not too hot and there was a slight breeze.
Some of the animals were hard to get good pictures of because they blended in with their environment.  The bottom left  there are two gibbons in the tree.  One is just chilling but the other is hanging from the bottom branch.  The bottom right are two bald eagles.  The center middle is an elephant, and there's a giraffe hanging out behind Michael.
After the zoo we had a picnic lunch by a river in Cameron Park.  It was so beautiful and peaceful and it was just so nice to be away from our little military town.  It felt refreshing.

After our picnic we went to Collin Street Bakery and got a treat.  This bakery is famous for making fruit cake.  We did not buy any fruit cake for a few reasons.  One, because it's gross, and two because it's $35.00, double gross.  However, they gave us some kind of cookie to sample and it was delicious.  And we purchased some danishes that were amazing! We will be going back there.
