Grandma Came to Visit!!

Last Saturday when we found out that Logan was being transferred up to the other NICU we sent out a text to our families letting them know what was going on.  My wonderful mother-in-laws response was, "I'll be there by tonight".  I was a bit stunned.  I had been so incredibly stressed out trying to figure out how I would take care of Nathan and be able to visit Logan all while Michael was in school and working and trying to keep up on homework.  Knowing that Grandma was coming to hang out with Nathan almost immediately melted that part of my stress and anxiety.  Things only got better from there.  The combination of seeing how well Logan was doing in the new place and knowing Nathan would be taken care of brought so much relief.
Nathan warmed up pretty fast to his Lolli!  He loved spending time with her and having her here!!  She went so above and beyond just helping with Nathan!  She made sure we were all eating regularly, she cleaned bathrooms and the kitchen (including the microwave-which was probably as gross as the bathrooms!), she kept Nathan fed, happy, and on his schedule, etc.  She did so much!  We so appreciate her dropping everything to come out and help us!
We took Lolli up to City Creek Mall to get everyone out of the house.  She hadn't been before.  We went up the afternoon before Logan came home.  It was a really nice day for some window shopping.

As a side note:  We are also so incredibly grateful for our siblings, Emily, Tyler, and Jessica, and for Aunt Marianne.  These family members helped us with Nathan before Grandma came and Jessica is here with us now to help out, then my mom is coming, so I'm also grateful for her and my dad.  We have felt overwhelmed with gratitude by all of the people that have helped us out with little to no notice.

  1. There are no nicer people on Earth than you and Michael! We love you! We are so glad to have helped in some small way and to see Logan get to come home now is the best! I am so glad that Lolli got to come spend some time with you too! What nice pictures of her and Nathan. They are a treasure!
