Irish Triplets

Irish triplets: 3 children born within 3 years of each other.  Nathan and Logan are 18 months apart, almost to the day.  Logan and Katelyn are 11 months apart.  Almost every time I've taken all three out by myself I have gotten comments from strangers about how tired I must be or how I have my hands full.  I usually just awkwardly laugh and agree with them.  The truth about these three cute kiddos is they are all pretty great, both individually and as a trio.  It is hard to chase all three of them around when we're trying to wrangle them for diaper changes, clothing changes, meals, etc.  It is hard to get all three of them down all three flights of stairs to go out anywhere.  It is hard getting all three of them in and out of the car.  It is hard making sure that each of them feel like they get individual attention.  Sometimes they all fuss and fight with each other and at us.  Sometimes they're all tired and grumpy at the same time.  But I honestly wouldn't change anything about how close they all are.  As much as they fuss and fight they also do really well playing with each other and helping each other.  Nathan and Logan share a room and play together before bed time.  Logan is sad a lot of times when we close the door but we hear Nathan telling him it's okay and then we hear laughing and giggling.  When we check on them after they've fallen asleep a lot of times Logan is snuggled up in Nathan's bed with him.  They both love getting toys for their sister and will rub her head or back when she's sad and tell her it's okay.  They get diapers for her to help out and throw away her dirty diapers.  Now that she's crawling she follows them around the house and her and Logan chase each other pretending to be puppies.  It is so sweet to see their relationships and to see how close they are not just in age.  The good times far outweigh the hard times and make it all so worth it.  **Although-it is almost impossible to get a picture of all three of them looking at the same place and giving any kind of semblance of a smile . . .**

This was the fort we made before bed one night.  The kids loved playing hide and seek and we read books.  Katelyn loved crawling in and out of the blankets.
