July Hikes

We started a new weekly tradition to go hiking on Saturday nights after I get home from work.  It has been awesome!  Our first hike was up at Snowbird, the Barrier Free trail.  It was awesome and perfect for little toddler legs.  Tyler came with us and found it for us.  It was the perfect beginning to our hiking tradition.

Since we had so much success the first week we found another hike to try the next week.  We used the All Trails app but there was some confusion with which trail head we needed to find.  We ended up at the wrong trail head but decided to try it out anyway.  The trail was quite steep.  Every kid had to be carried.  We made it about half way up and then stopped to play in a river.  We decided to turn around and go back after that.  Overall it was still a pretty fun hike.  Gared, Jessica and Tyler came with us.

Our third hike was up Big Cottonwood Canyon on the Mill B South trail.  This time we met up with Brooke, Cohen, Mason and Tyler.  The little boys had so much fun throwing rocks in the river and the trail was short and paved.  It was much easier then the week before.  The little boys loved hiking with their cousins!

The last hike I did by myself with the kids up Provo Canyon.  I was headed into work on a Monday morning for a treatment team meeting.  The meeting ended up getting re-scheduled for just two hours later but I really didn't want to take the kids back up the stairs to go home.  So we headed up the canyon.  The kids got to play on the playground and we walked on the biking/jogging trail.  It was the perfect way to pass time.  We all needed the fresh air and exercise!
