Nathan saw the doctor today for his 1 year check up. He is 28.2 inches, in the 5th percentile, and 20 pounds, in the 28th percentile. He hasn't really grown much since his 9 month appointment but the doctor wasn't concerned. Funny side note, Michael came with me to the doctor today and Nathan was uncharacteristically scared of him. He clung to Michael so tight and cried when he needed to be pulled away.
Nathan is a fast crawler, especially if you don't want him to have something or be somewhere. He also walks really well along the couch, walls, and can move from one surface to another. He's stood by himself very briefly and inconsistently. Hopefully he'll start doing more of that this month. Nathan loves to play patty cake, peek-a-boo, and so-big. He has been a chatter box lately. He has his own language that only his cousin understands and can speak back. A lot of what he says is "da da", "da do", and "ma ma". He also started socially laughing-if he hears us laughing he joins in. And today he laughed for no reason, which he hasn't done before. He recently started throwing fits when he doesn't get something he wants. It's too bad for him that he's an adorable fit thrower though. He sits on the floor, rocks back and forth, and complains in his little language. The best news from this month is that Nathan started sleeping through the night! He goes to bed around 8 PM and sleeps until about 7-7:30. It is awesome! He's also started weaning. We're down to one feeding in the mornings. He loves feeding himself fruits, cheese, crackers, etc. He also loves chicken, yogurt, bananas, pretty much most foods. He is not a picky eater.
Michael and my siblings blew up a bunch of balloons. 70 to be exact. I think Nathan liked it. :)
| This is my Pinterest fail of the day. He really did not like being put back in his crib so soon after waking up. |
| This was my favorite picture from the day. Nathan is playing with his dad. He loves Michael so much. He always crawls over to him when he gets home and follows him around. |

Oh I love him so much! Make sure you get a fit on video. They're so cute when they're harmless and semi-tame. I can't believe he's already one!!
