Virginia Trip, Part 3

For some reason Nathan has been asking us if we could go to "the market" lately.  He asked us before we went out to Virginia.  Lucky for him there are some pretty cool Farmer's Markets in the town my mom and dad live in.

The Farmer's Market has a really cool toy shop in it.  Nathan loved it!  And, did really well at not begging us for any toys!  He was able to get a little mail truck that he picked out after earning it by helping his Papa with some yard work!

The kids loved being able to play in Meemaw and Papa's huge backyard!!

Michael taught Nathan how to use a yo-yo!

This little cat is one of the neighbors but he wanders over occasionally and my dad feeds him.  Nathan LOVED him and kept calling him his "little cat friend".  And then he'd follow the cat around and try and play with him!  And then he'd say to us, "Do you want to come say hi to my cat friend?"  It was so cute!

 

It doesn't get much better then laying in the green grass watching the clouds!

"Camping!" . . . But mostly just sitting in the tent in the middle of the day.  We didn't end up making it out to go actual camping.  Next time.

Logan loved the fire!  He'd say, "wooow! Fire!!"  He loved it a little too much . . .

I love this bike trailer that my dad made!  And the boys loved taking bike rides!

Michael and I went on a really awesome date to what ended up being a JMU dive bar . . . They had really good burgers!

The kids had a picnic and watched "Moana" with Meemaw and Papa while we were on our date!

So, funny story about how we ended up in a bar  . . . My mom gave us the name of a burger place in downtown Harrisonburg, but we couldn't quite remember the name.  So we went to the place we thought she was talking about.  They had really good food!  When we walked out of the bar I happened to turn around and look up and we found the actual place that my mom had told us about!  The first sign is the place she recommended, three signs down is where we went!  :P

My dad and Nathan went on a bike ride while we were on our date and found this river!

Meemaw and Papa got Katelyn her first little dolly!

He may not look very happy about it here, but he really loves that little tractor Meemaw and Papa got him!  He loved playing with it in the rocks!
