4 Months!

Nathan is 4 months old now, as of last Friday.  He had a doctor's appointment today.  He weighs 16 and a half pounds, and is 25 and a quarter inches tall.

Nathan has been a lot more curious this month and has been reaching for anything that gets close to his hands or face (toys, burp rags, my hair, my hands and fingers, my phone, etc).  If he's able to get it, it goes in his mouth.  He's been sucking/chomping on his hands like crazy and has finally figured out how to get just his thumb in his mouth.  He is babbling a lot and will try to carry on gibberish conversations with us.  He also smiles and laughs a lot.  Sometimes he's a good napper and sometimes he'll have nothing to do with naps.  He does sleep pretty well at night though, so that's really nice.  He's been sleeping in his crib more and I think I'm almost ready to put away his pack'n'play that is set up in our room . . . almost . . . :)  Nathan tried carrots for the first time yesterday and loved them! He emptied a container in one sitting.  He seems to really like eating from the spoon!  It's a big relief because he will not take a bottle.  At least now we have one other way of feeding him.  Nathan has been rolling over more, but not consistently yet.  He still scoots, twists and turns in his sleep.  I've even heard him jabbering in his sleep a few times!

I am so in love with this little guy!  He makes me smile every day!  It seems hard to believe it's already been 4 months!
